On May 6, 2026, at the initiative of the Ukrainian side, a telephone conversation was held between the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha‎, the Georgian Foreign Ministry reports.

“During the conversation, Georgian-Ukrainian relations were discussed, the importance of dialogue and further steps in this direction were emphasized,” reads the information.

For information, on May 4, a meeting between Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Volodymyr Zelensky was held in Yerevan within the framework of the European Political Community Summit. According to the Georgian Government Administration, the communication was held at the initiative of the Ukrainian side. The meeting was also attended by the heads of the foreign ministries of Georgia and Ukraine - Maka Botchorishvili and Andrii Sybiha.
