At the meeting with the US State Department delegation, we discussed issues that are important in the process of resetting relations between the two countries, - Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili stated after a meeting between Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Sonata Coulter.

According to her, another delegation visit from the US is planned for the end of May, within the framework of which further steps in Georgia-US cooperation will be discussed in more detail.

"The visit of the US State Department delegation serves to develop cooperation between Georgia and the US. We discussed issues that are important in the process of resetting relations between the two countries. We talked about future steps. We are again waiting for the delegation at the end of the month, during which further steps of our cooperation will be discussed in more detail. One thing is noteworthy that both sides realize how important it is to continue relations based on respect and pragmatic cooperation, which is very important. It is gratifying that the same messages are being heard from the US delegation that were voiced by the Georgian side," Maka Botchorishvili said.
