Shalva Papuashvili - We see an aggressive campaign, they want to put up posters in the European Parliament and say that the attackers on the presidential palace are heroes - the violence of October 4 is entirely the political responsibility of Brussels

The October 4 violence, 25 injured police officers, and the attempted coup are entirely the political responsibility of Brussels, - the Speaker of the Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, told journalists while assessing the decision made in the October 4 case.

According to him, “Anyone who tries to justify the scenario of the return of the 90s and whoever finances it is an enemy of Georgia and nothing else.”

"In reality, this is an attempt to cover up the political crime that Brussels committed against Georgia. October 4 is entirely Brussels' political responsibility. On the way to October 4, we repeatedly warned all those foreigners, ambassadors and politicians, who walked with Salome Zurabishvili and took photos with her. This incited Salome Zurabishvili and people in her political alliance not to give up the false presidency. Then, a few days before October 4, we saw when the European Commission spokesperson directly expressed support for the previously announced violence, the Nepal scenario, which was delayed until October 4. The European Commission supported this. On October 4, during the violence, when the presidential palace was being stormed and everyone was watching it live, there were supportive voices from Brussels. Therefore, the violence of October 4, 25 injured police officers, the attempted coup are entirely the political responsibility of Brussels. Now we see an aggressive campaign, which is also financed by those foreigners who planned October 4, and an attempt to justify the group that really intended to return Georgia to its dark past and somehow create a campaign abroad. Otherwise, they will not be able to convince Georgia of anything. They want to put up posters in the European Parliament and say that the attackers of the presidential palace are heroes. Those who are inspiring a civil war want bloodshed, want Nepal, want to hang people on trees, want to drown and capture people, as if these people are heroes. This is a civilizational gap. I saw a banner from the Estonian organization Transparency International that says that they are political prisoners. I want Georgia to know very well that everyone who finances this organization is an enemy of Georgia. We need to understand this, we need to investigate who finances Transparency International Georgia and we will find out who is the enemy of Georgia. Whoever tries to justify the scenario of the return of the 90s and whoever finances it is an enemy of Georgia and nothing else. This must be said directly. We'll find out soon whose money is being spent to inspire bloodshed in Georgia," Papuashvili said.
