Shalva Papuashvili on the opposition - This is a criminal group - if we see people at the EU meeting tomorrow who are announcing violence for May 26, this will be the answer to who is behind the next attempt at unrest

The only one whose opinion I am interested in is the opinion of several ambassadors, whether they will give up on those who are trying to announce violence again on May 26 - we will see about that soon! - said the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili.

According to him, if those people who are announcing violence for May 26 appear tomorrow at the Europe Day organized by the European Union, this will answer the question of who is behind the next attempt at unrest.

"If we see the people who are announcing violence for May 26 at the EU event tomorrow, this will be the answer to our question of who is behind this latest attempt at unrest. At the same time, we know one thing very well, that this is the attitude of these people, whom I cannot even call politicians, because they are ordinary people who carry out orders from outside, who, when they go to people, gather 5-7 people, but they go to ambassadors in groups and well-equipped, to approach the ambassador, to approach various capitals, to plan changes in the government in Georgia with their help. Unfortunately, this is the history of Georgia - it was like this in the past, when they went to various capitals to gather troops there against Georgia, it was like this during the Soviet Union, when they went to Moscow to eliminate their competitor in Tbilisi and take office, it is happening now, when Moscow was replaced by Brussels and some other capitals and they are going to Brussels to eliminate their competitors. The traitor has always been punished in history, and this group has been punished by the Georgian people as well. This is the usual agony that the radical opposition is in today, and the reason for the agony is that they have failed to fulfill any of the tasks they receive from outside to disrupt the country, overthrow it, and shed blood. They also failed on October 4, when they wanted to organize a “Nepal” and shed blood in Georgia, and now they have a strict warning from their masters outside the country to do something, but the Georgian people have given an answer many times to radical groups that are acting against the national interests of Georgia,” Papuashvili said.

According to him, after the verdict in the case of the violent coup of October 4, we should remove the word “unity” from the political dictionary towards the opposition.

"This is a criminal association. A criminal association that acts against Georgia. So, today we have a criminal association in the form of these groups that are trying to harm Georgia. We should look at all this as planning, organizing, committing a crime. Since this is one big political crime and in some cases, it grows into a criminal offense that they commit against their own country. So, we should look at it as political criminals who have a criminal association," Papuashvili said.
