Russia is waging a hybrid war, with Georgia as a test model, the fifth President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, said during a speech at the Black Sea Security Forum in Odessa.
According to Salome Zurabishvili, the myth of Russia’s military invincibility has been shattered in Ukraine.
“Despite the fact that the myth has been shattered, this does not mean that Russia agrees to stop there. At the same time, it is waging another war, a hybrid war, against Georgia as a test model. It is waging war not only with missiles, but also through elections, propaganda, institutional capture, intimidation of civil society and the export of its own legislative coercion mechanism. All the laws adopted in Georgia are part of a campaign of hybrid interference, which aims to divert Georgia from the European path,” Salome Zurabishvili said.
She said that Russia remains an imperialist power.
“What unites Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova is whether Russia’s neighboring countries have the sovereign right to choose their own future and whether the international community will protect this right,” Salome Zurabishvili noted.
