Vika Pilpani, a member of the “Gakharia For Georgia” parliamentary faction, addressed Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during his annual report in Parliament:

“Mr. Irakli, please stop your colleagues from insulting you in this way and somehow signal to them that you are capable of defending yourself and answering questions. Mr. Irakli, you are the former Speaker of Parliament who brought Gavrilov to Georgia, hosted him, and seated him in the parliamentary chair. You are the Prime Minister under whose conditions the country’s strategic partnership with the United States was suspended, and during whose tenure the ‘Moscow Mechanism’ was activated, with judges and high-ranking officials being sanctioned. You are the Prime Minister who frequently travels to the East, has even visited Timur Leng’s grave, but has not visited the occupation line. Also, you are the Prime Minister under whose leadership even Bidzina Ivanishvili himself was sanctioned, yet you were not.

This raises a logical question: you are the author and responsible figure for all of this, yet you are not sanctioned. This can have two explanations - either you are not taken seriously, or you have some special talent and relations with external forces. Could you share with your colleagues why they are sanctioned while you, as the responsible person, are not?”

She also asked another question about drug policy:

“As for the report, you present the number of prosecuted individuals as the main proof of success in drug policy, but everyone knows this does not show whether drug use has decreased, whether drug networks have stopped operating, or whether people have been saved from drug-related deaths. If there were concrete numbers on how many people were cured of addiction, that would be more meaningful. How many people died from drug overdoses last year?”
