Georgian Dream MP Tengiz Sharmanashvili said that "Zhorzholiani is supposed to create heroes in Georgia," commenting on the United National Movement (UNM) and evaluating Nanuka Zhorzholiani's statement on TV Pirveli that the opposition plans to open "several fronts" and focus on "creating—or rather finding—regional heroes."

According to Sharmanashvili, members of the UNM are offering the public "excellent comic scenarios."

He also stated that Georgia's imprisoned third president, Mikheil Saakashvili, is a citizen of another country and therefore has no right to engage in political activity in Georgia.

"Zhorzholiani is supposed to create heroes in Georgia. I'm telling you, these are comical developments—stock up on popcorn. If you're in a bad mood, just sit down in front of the television, because they are offering us some truly excellent comic scenarios.

You can't imagine how absurd this scenario is. First, [Saakashvili] himself said that Zhorzholiani should become the party's chairperson. Then, for reasons only he knows, he apparently became worried and thought that this might create problems for him. After that, he came up with a 'Reform Council'—something that is not предусмотрено (provided for) either by his party's statute or by law—where he wants to appoint himself as chair.

He is a prisoner, and at the same time a person holding the passport of a foreign country, who has no right to engage in political activity here. He then supposedly offered Zhorzholiani the position of secretary or something similar.

How can I seriously discuss this topic? I genuinely would like to, but I simply can't. Every new day is even more absurdly comic than the previous one. Why they do these things—you'll have to ask them, because I don't know," Sharmanashvili said.
