Once again, it has been proved that Maka Botchorishvili is a completely shameful, anti-Georgian politician who tried to politically instrumentalize domestic political issues in the international arena at one of the narrow-profile international conferences, - this is how the Foreign Secretary of Lelo-Strong Georgia, Grigol Gegelia, assessed the participation of Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili in the ministerial held in Washington.

As Gegelia stated, in the context of the destruction of strategic relations with the US, the government is not taking concrete steps to stabilize the situation.-

"It has become clear that Maka Botchorishvili and this regime have nothing in common with the Georgian, the adequate, and they always shamelessly contribute to the instrumentalization of internal political issues. We have once again been convinced that this regime is anti-Georgian in its essence and never serves national interests. A clear expression of this is that, against the background of the destruction of strategic relations with the United States, this regime does nothing to respond to American demands, to take concrete steps. It is trying to offer us narrow-profile conferences as a propaganda with which the nation should be satisfied. The reality is that the United States has set a very specific list of steps for the normalization of relations, which the regime must take for stabilization. This regime said that they are not going to listen to Marco Rubio and are not going to do anything. As a result, this regime has given us the fact that today the bilateral strategic partnership with the main partner, the United States, is destroyed. As a result of all this, the Georgian economy and Georgian politics are suffering. We see that the regime is not taking real steps towards stabilization. Steps that the State Department has repeatedly expressed in its appeal. This regime wants to be in its own formats and take photos, but does not want to normalize relations. This regime is not doing anything that will bring concrete benefits to the Georgian people. It is unclear what benefits these types of speeches can bring to international conferences in general,” Gegelia said.

In addition to this issue, he also assessed Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze’s statement regarding the OSCE and stated that the Georgian Dream harms the country’s national interests.

"What Irakli Kobakhidze thinks about the OSCE is good proof that this man and his administration are against Georgia and are 'working' every day to harm the national interests of our country," Gegelia said.
