It is impossible for anyone to perceive as normal the fact that every two months they create new ministries for a person and entrust him with the management of these ministries. This points to the crisis that exists within Ivanishvili’s regime, - this is how Irakli Pavlenishvili, one of the leaders of the “National Movement,” assesses the introduction of the position of State Minister for Regional Policy Issues, to which Mamuka Mdinaradze will be appointed.
As Pavlenishvili noted, “the fact is that things are difficult within ‘Georgian Dream.’”
“It is very difficult to say exactly what is happening inside Ivanishvili’s party. To know that, you would probably have to be inside these clan struggles and know what and how is happening, but the fact that this is not an expression of a good life is clear. It is impossible for anyone to perceive as normal the fact that every two months they create new ministries for a person and entrust him with the management of these ministries. Which ‘clan’s’ strength this testifies to and which ‘clan’s’ weakening - I cannot tell you that, we cannot predict it, but the fact is that things are very difficult within ‘Dream,’ that these people ‘cannot settle down,’ they have to change the head of the State Security Service every six months when they should be elected for a six-year term. They have to appoint specifically this person, Mr. Mdinaradze, to a newly invented position. This points to the crisis that exists within Ivanishvili’s regime,” Pavlenishvili stated.
For information, according to a statement by Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, in September the Ministry of Regional Development will be abolished and the position of State Minister for Regional Policy Issues will be created, to which Mamuka Mdinaradze will be appointed.
As for the position of State Minister for Law Enforcement Agencies, which was created three months ago and was headed by Mamuka Mdinaradze, according to Irakli Kobakhidze, the agency will be abolished by law in the first week of September, and until then it will remain vacant.
