According to him, when you attribute something like this to your own people, culture, this is unthinkable even from a representative of the National Movement.

For information, one of the leaders of the National Movement, Giorgi Baramidze, noted in an interview with Iago Khvichia that during the war in Abkhazia, “Georgians did not take captives, Georgians killed them".

“It was not necessary, but when someone kills your cousin, brother, or friend, it is very difficult to contain your emotions there...”, Baramidze noted.

Later, Giorgi Baramidze provided an explanation regarding this, noting that in the interview he was talking about the war waged by the Russians in Abkhazia 33 years ago, in 1992-93, and the process of exchanging prisoners of war at that time, "when we neither had a regular trained or disciplined army nor a normal state."
