According to him, if there is an opportunity in the future to alleviate the situation of the Georgian or Abkhazian population living there, this step will be taken, but within the framework of the Law on Occupation.

“In general, our current legislative framework allows such things, including the Law on Occupation. If any such step has been taken and will be taken, all such steps will be taken within the framework of the Law on Occupation. If we can, among others, alleviate the situation of the population living in Abkhazia, we will do that too, but we will do it within the framework of the Law on Occupation.

As for the import of fuel, we did not bring it, business did it. If we have the opportunity in the future to alleviate the situation of the population living there, Georgians or Abkhazians, we will do it in the future as well,” said Irakli Kobakhidze.
