Levan Samushiia: Who is the supplier of fuel to Abkhazia? Kobakhidze’s answer alone is not enough - that they acted in accordance with the Law on the Occupied Territories of Georgia - The questions must be answered!

Who is the fuel supplier? Kobakhidze’s answer alone is not enough regarding the fact that they acted in accordance with the Law on the Occupation of Georgia, - stated one of the leaders of “Strong Georgia - Lelo,” Levan Samushiia, responding to the confirmation by the “Georgian Dream” government of the fact that Georgian business had delivered fuel to Abkhazia.

According to him, members of “Georgian Dream” have a corrupt appetite, and the accusations against their high-ranking officials speak to this, which is why it is necessary to give detailed answers to the existing questions.

“There are questions regarding this issue and these questions must necessarily be answered. Kobakhidze’s answer alone is not enough regarding the fact that they acted in accordance with the Law on the Occupation of Georgia. We know their corrupt appetite. That ‘Georgian Dream’ is drowning in corruption is evidenced by the accusations and convictions of former high-ranking officials regarding this issue. Questions must be raised here: first of all, who is the fuel supplier, that is, the origin of the fuel and who is the recipient. Appropriate answers must be given to the questions. Was the said action carried out in accordance with the Law on the Occupation of Georgia? Was Georgia’s national interest protected when carrying out the said action?” - stated Levan Samushiia.

For information: Information had been circulating in the media that, against the background of the fuel crisis created in Abkhazia, fuel entered from territory controlled by Georgia. Yesterday, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze confirmed this information at a briefing held in the Government Administration, but specified that the fuel was brought in not by the authorities, but by business in compliance with the law.
