By invoking the “Treaty of Georgievsk” (which put an end to Georgian statehood), they are preparing the abolition of the present-day Georgian state created with great difficulty. All patriots must stand together, create a common national wave of salvation and sweep these people away, - writes the third President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, on social media.
As Saakashvili notes, they have moved to the final stage of the destruction of Georgia.
“Against the background that Ukraine has carried out a very successful strike on the Novosibirsk military port - 4 ships have serious damage (I hope it will do the same with regard to the bases in Ochamchire and Gudauta) and also against the background that Ivanishvili is supplying gasoline to Russia via Abkhazia, ‘Kotspack’ is clearly preparing a very great betrayal.
By invoking the ‘Treaty of Georgievsk,’ which put an end to Georgian statehood, they are preparing the abolition of the present-day Georgian state created with great difficulty.
In this situation, party affiliation or political and personal differences have no significance whatsoever - all patriots must stand together, we must create a common national wave of salvation and sweep these people away; otherwise they have already moved to the final stage of the destruction of Georgia and afterwards some of us, left without a homeland in emigration, and others in prison, will sort out relations with each other and shout - ‘you should not have done that then, you should have said this’ - and engage in other meaningless disputes,” - writes Saakashvili.
For information: Yesterday at a briefing, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated that when Erekle II signed the “Treaty of Georgievsk,” this document played a most important role in the survival of our state and country; as long as Erekle II was alive, the agreement was being fulfilled. In Kobakhidze’s opinion, the said agreement saved the country, which a priori means that the step taken by Erekle II was wise and without alternative.
