My position is rational and well-thought-out: let us offer the Abkhazians a proposal that they cannot refuse - membership of the European Union, - one of the leaders of “Coalition for Change,” Nika Gvaramia, writes.

According to him, this will bring a European passport and all European privileges, as well as economic prosperity.

“Irakli Kobakhidze regarding my statement about Abkhazia: ‘The agency has received a new assignment and is carrying out this new assignment. The foreign agency has its task - to hinder the restoration of trust; we have our task - on the contrary, to contribute to the restoration of trust. Of course, our policy in this direction will be completely consistent and principled.’

Mikheil Saakashvili regarding my statement about Abkhazia: ‘After the return of the rest of Georgia, the main priority task is the restoration of control over Abkhazia, and this will not work according to the principle of “pull the snake out of the hole by speaking to it sweetly with the tongue.” But only an economically, politically strong Georgia, armed to the teeth, with its own forces and those of its friends, will be able to return our ancestral land, our homes from Enguri to Psou.’

Two positions have emerged:

The ‘Kochi’ one: restoration of trust, which in fact repeats Ivanishvili’s ‘let us apologize’ and is translated as ‘we must forget Abkhazia.’

The ‘Natsi’ one: we must regain Abkhazia through war, which in fact is translated as extreme political populism and empty war rhetoric, which pours water on the main propaganda line of Georgian Dream ‘so do you want war,’ goes against the mood of the Georgian people who do not want war, and is irresponsible empty words behind which there stands neither a real military plan nor any well-thought-out scheme.

The first is a treacherous position, while the second is a populist game on the people’s emotions for their own political goals, and not for the real return of Abkhazia.

My position, however, is rational and well-thought-out: let us offer the Abkhazians a proposal that they cannot refuse - membership of the European Union, which will bring:

a European passport and all European privileges;

economic prosperity;

high guarantees of security;

the highest European guarantees for the Abkhaz national minority;

the forgetting of war forever.

Accordingly, two parties have emerged: the traitorous ‘Kotsis’ who are handing over Abkhazia, and the irresponsible populist ‘Natsis’ who preach war rhetoric; while I say and promise you: we will become members of the European Union; Georgia will be united; there will be no war,” Gvaramia writes.
