“The fact that the head of the SSS is being changed for the fourth time shows that the vertical has collapsed, the system has collapsed, there are terrible upheavals inside,” one of the leaders of “Lelo - Strong Georgia,” Salome Samadashvili, stated on PalitraNews’ programme “360 Degrees,” commenting on the change of the head of the SSS.
According to Salome Samadashvili, as it turns out, the former head of the SSS, Grigol Liluashvili, proved to be an irreplaceable cadre for Bidzina Ivanishvili.
“Ivanishvili governed the country through the SSS, and changing the head of the SSS for the fourth time means that the system of governance has broken down. He might as well bring Liluashvili out of prison and put him back in the SSS office; months have passed and they are changing the head of the SSS for the fourth time. Apparently Liluashvili was an irreplaceable cadre for Ivanishvili. The question arises: the person who has been appointed to the position today - how long-term a head of the SSS is he? How long will the new head of the SSS last? It would be comical if it weren’t tragic.
The fact that the authorities are collapsing from within is an indicator and is symptomatic of the fact that the head of the SSS is being changed for the fourth time. It is not normal that the SSS governs the state; this is an anomaly created by Ivanishvili’s regime. The country should be governed by Parliament. An autocratic system is governed through the SSS vertical, and the fact that the head of the SSS is being changed for the fourth time shows that the vertical has collapsed, the system has collapsed, there are terrible upheavals inside,” Salome Samadashvili stated.
Salome Samadashvili also responded to the statement by majority leader Irakli Kirtskhalia that “Georgian Dream” will also apply to the Constitutional Court regarding the ban of the party “Gakharia for Georgia.”
According to Samadashvili, this happened because the Constitutional Court’s deadline was running out; it was supposed to make a decision in January, and now the countdown will start anew.
