Sixteen MPs from Georgian Dream and People's Power voted for the legislative initiative proposed by the For Georgia faction, which sought to restore the regulations concerning assemblies and demonstrations that were in effect prior to 2024.
The voting results were published by the For Georgia faction. Among the 28 MPs who supported the legislative package are the following members of Georgian Dream and People's Power: Irakli Kirtskhalia, Tornike Berekashvili, Isko Daseni, Zaal Dugladze, Vakhtang Turnava, Samvel Manukian, Guram Macharashvili, Anton Obolashvili, Nikoloz Samkharadze, Eka Sepashvili, Aluda Ghudushauri, Goderdzi Chankseliani, Vasil Chigogidze, Tea Tsulukiani, Givi Chichinadze, and Giorgi Chkonia. It is worth noting that prior to the vote, the session chair, Shalva Papuashvili, reminded his colleagues that the draft law submitted by the For Georgia faction regarding assemblies and demonstrations was being put to a vote.
The legislative initiative failed, with 28 votes in favor and 16 against.
