Prime Minister: "Downtown Tbilisi" and "Trump Tower Tbilisi" go beyond the scope of mere urban development; they will create a new reality for the country and serve as a distinctive economic and tourism attraction, this 280-meter-tall, 62-story tower will add a new landmark to Tbilisi

"It is safe to say that today is a historic day for our country and for the development of our capital," Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated while addressing the presentation of the "Trump Tower Tbilisi" project.

According to the Head of Government, the "Downtown Tbilisi" project—and "Trump Tower Tbilisi," envisioned as its central landmark—transcends the boundaries of mere urban construction.

"A $2 billion investment and 600,000 square meters of modern space in the capital's center will create a new reality for the country, establishing a distinctive economic and tourism attraction.

This 280-meter-tall, 62-story tower represents a bold statement that will position Tbilisi as a new attraction alongside the world's leading urban centers.

This large-scale collaboration is entirely natural and logical: in many respects, Georgia serves as a natural bridge connecting Europe and Asia.

We pursue a consistent policy and maintain an open economy; as a result, Tbilisi—and our country as a whole—is emerging as one of the most reliable and attractive destinations for global investors.

Even five years ago, it would have been difficult to envision the realization of a project of this magnitude; yet, our country has been developing at a rapid pace during this time. It was noted today that Georgia has had exceptional economic growth rates over these years. In just the last five years, Georgia's economy has grown nearly 2.5-fold in dollar terms. Naturally, such a trend, such dynamics makes it possible to implement projects on a new scale," stated Irakli Kobakhidze.

As the Prime Minister noted, the involvement of the global brand "The Trump Organization" and the Washington office of the world-leading architectural firm Gensler provides a very solid guarantee of the project's success. It is particularly noteworthy that Georgian business stands as a worthy and full-fledged partner to global giants.

This serves as clear confirmation that Georgian companies and capital possess the resources and capacity to realize ideas on a global scale.

This project translates into thousands of jobs within our country and long-term contracts for the Georgian construction sector, thereby providing a tremendous boost to our national economy.

By 2031, when Trump Tower is built, and by 2033, when the entire district is completed, Tbilisi will gain a truly exceptional space that harmoniously integrates with the renovated Central Park.

The Government of Georgia will continue to firmly support such projects, as well as every investor undertaking large-scale, long-term initiatives of this nature.

I would like to thank each of the companies involved—Archi, Invia, Safir Organization, Finvest, Blackstone Capital, and Vector Group—for this initiative, and I wish them success.

I also extend my gratitude to Downtown Tbilisi and Trump Tower—our investors—for realizing this project and for their support. This support is very important to us.

I am deeply convinced that this project will become another prominent symbol of our country's economic strength, peace, and progress—a calling card for Georgia as a trustworthy, reliable, and stable state," the Prime Minister stated.
