“If it is ultimately established that the law has been violated, there will be an appropriate legal response — we will fully investigate what we are dealing with,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said, commenting on a seminar held as part of the Tbilisi School of Political Studies, which is taking place in Bakhmaro with the participation of diplomats.

In this context, Kobakhidze highlighted the Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence.

“Everyone must respect Georgian legislation, including the Law on Transparency. We will fully investigate what we are dealing with. If it is ultimately established — and it clearly appears that this may be the case — that the transparency legislation has been violated, of course, there will be an appropriate legal response,” Irakli Kobakhidze said.

For reference, the Tbilisi School of Political Studies was established in 1999 as a non-governmental organization. The school operates under the auspices of the Council of Europe. The Tbilisi School of Political Studies is headed by politician Armaz Akhvelidiani.
