"Two new judges were appointed to the Constitutional Court yesterday. While many wrote about the appointment of Goga Kikilashvili—the son of Khvicha Kikilashvili—another development went unnoticed. By a decision of the Supreme Court Plenum, Sergo Metopishvili, a member of the court's influential group, will also become a Constitutional Court judge.

Two new judges, Sergo Metopishvili and Goga Kikilashvili, have been appointed to the Constitutional Court.

Goga Kikilashvili will replace Giorgi Kverenchkhiladze—who was appointed by former President Giorgi Margvelashvili—as Kverenchkhiladze's term as a Constitutional Court judge expires on October 2.

As for Sergo Metopishvili, formerly a judge at the Tbilisi Court of Appeals, he will replace Teimuraz Tughushi at the Constitutional Court. Tughushi's term of office expires on November 2.
