Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia took part in a high-level panel discussion on peace, organized by Finland within the scope of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA),the Government Administration reports.

At the event titled as Reaffirming the Promise of Peace: Using the Power We Have,, leaders discussed ways to prevent and peacefully resolve conflicts, emphasizing the necessity of upholding the principles of international law.

In his address, the Head of Government of Georgia drew attention to the occupation of 20 percent of the country's territories and noted that Georgia has experienced the disregard for international legal norms firsthand.

Irakli Kobakhidze spoke about the necessity of respecting state sovereignty and highlighted the critical importance of joint international efforts and the more effective use of diplomatic tools to overcome shared challenges.

Leaders from various countries participated in the closed-door panel discussion, organized by Alexander Stubb, President of the Republic of Finland.
