"We listened with pride to the Prime Minister's statement, in which he addressed all the important issues concerning the country, its future, and the situation and challenges in the region—there is no alternative to peace. We have experienced this firsthand," said Kakha Kaladze, General Secretary of Georgian Dream, commenting on Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze's address at the 81st UN General Assembly.

He added that Georgia is ready to utilize all international platforms and is prepared to contribute to building a new region founded on peace.

"We listened with pride to the Prime Minister's statement, in which he addressed all the significant issues concerning the country, its future, and the situation and challenges within the region. The Prime Minister emphasized the necessity of achieving global peace. He also discussed our country's economic development—a matter of great importance—basing his remarks on facts and recent economic indicators. Furthermore, the Prime Minister highlighted the significance of our country's role in the region, not least due to its geographic location. Georgia is prepared to utilize every international platform and is ready to contribute to building a new region grounded in peace.

There is no alternative to peace; we have learned this from our own experience and that of our country. Preserving peace is the foundation for the country's development and strengthening," Kaladze noted.

According to Kakha Kaladze, the statements made by the Prime Minister did not differ from what he says domestically. "There are no conflicting messages. You have heard the statement I made—and I will repeat it now: the Georgian government is ready to start a new chapter in relations. It is fundamentally important that these relations be friendly and grounded in a solid strategic partnership.

The previous administration acted unfairly and in an unfriendly manner through the decisions and attitudes it adopted toward the Georgian people and the state. The current president and administration can easily rectify this unfair approach. We are ready to begin cooperation with a clean slate," Kaladze noted.
