Irakli Kirtskhalia, leader of the parliamentary majority and member of the Georgian Dream Political Council, commented on regarding circulating rumors that Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze might resign or be forced out of his position.

Kirtskhalia explained that Irakli Kobakhidze was indeed a topic of discussion during both the Georgian Dream Political Council meeting and the parliamentary majority meeting. Specifically, the party’s founder and Honorary Chairman, Bidzina Ivanishvili, spoke about him at length—but every word was complimentary. Kirtskhalia added that the team aligns with Bidzina Ivanishvili’s position and supports Irakli Kobakhidze.

"The Prime Minister was indeed a topic of discussion—Bidzina Ivanishvili, in particular, spoke about him at length—but every single word expressed was in his praise. Naturally, the team joins Bidzina Ivanishvili in supporting and commending Irakli Kobakhidze; under his leadership, the Government of Georgia is performing exceptionally well. Far from there being any grounds for his resignation, every passing day confirms that he is an outstanding Prime Minister. This is precisely what Bidzina Ivanishvili emphasized—he dedicated the bulk of his remarks to him, and those remarks consisted entirely of praise for Irakli Kobakhidze.
