Ana Tsitlidze: The judges of the Constitutional Court are behaving like activists of “Georgian Dream” - and “Georgian Dream” has representation of the lowest level

The judges of the Constitutional Court are behaving like activists of “Georgian Dream” and not like judges who are responsible and accountable only to the Georgian people — one of the leaders of the “National Movement,” Ana Tsitlidze, stated.
According to her, the respondent side is rather well prepared and their motions were legally well-founded, which “we cannot say about the representation of ‘Georgian Dream.’”
“This process is not legal and it has no connection whatsoever with legal issues. The judges of the Constitutional Court are not free in their decisions and it is known in advance what decision the Constitutional Court will take.
The respondent side had legally well-founded motions. Moreover, even by the standard of ‘Georgian Dream,’ ‘Georgian Dream’ has representation of the lowest level in the Constitutional Court. Not only are they unable to convey legally what they are claiming, but the process has been ongoing for two days and ‘Strong Georgia – Lelo’ and ‘Gakharia for Georgia’ have not understood at all, just as the Constitutional Court judges have not, what is being directed at them and what at other parties.
The judges of the Constitutional Court are behaving like activists of ‘Georgian Dream’ and not like judges who are responsible and accountable only to the Georgian people. All of this is clearly visible at these court sessions,” Ana Tsitlidze stated.
