Irakli Kupradze: Over the past three days, we have witnessed a process the outcome of which is already a foregone conclusion; this is a political vendetta being carried out by the Plenum of the Constitutional Court, based on a petition filed by 88 MPs from the "non-Georgian Dream”

"This is a political vendetta being carried out by the Plenum of the Constitutional Court, based on a petition filed by 88 MPs from the 'Non-Georgian," Irakli Kupradze, General Secretary of the Strong Georgia – Lelo coalition, stated regarding the Constitutional Court's review of a petition concerning the potential banning of opposition parties.
According to him, the proceedings have been ongoing for three days, yet their outcome has already been predetermined.
"Over the past three days, we have witnessed a process the fate of which has already been decided. This was confirmed by a statement from the so-called Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, who remarked that just a few days were left till the banning of these parties. All of this indicates that this is not a legal process. It is a political vendetta being conducted by the Plenum of the Constitutional Court, based on a petition from 88 MPs of the 'Non-Georgian Dream'—a Plenum that is already compromised in terms of both its composition and public trust," said Irakli Kupradze.
