A very good morning is breaking – the Russian-allied autocracy has fallen in Serbia. Russia and Ivanishvili’s regime have lost yet another ally, – this is how one of the leaders of “Strong Georgia – Lelo,” Salome Samadashvili, responds to Aleksandar Vučić’s defeat in the Serbian elections.

According to her, this is welcome news for Serbia and for all of Europe.

“In 2020, as a result of the parliamentary boycott, opposition parties remained outside the political process in Serbia. In the short term, this strengthened Vučić.

However, in recent years public protest transformed into a political movement.

This movement won early elections and finished off Vučić as well.

Ivanishvili’s regime can draw two conclusions from this:

Autocracy always stands on feet of clay; when and what will bring it down is hard to predict – the only certainty is that it will collapse. You can ban parties – you cannot ban the people. And ultimately, only the people can restore democracy. They can also draw a third conclusion, which I will share after the midterm elections in America, without fail,” Salome Samadashvili writes.

Aleksandar Vučić has acknowledged that his party, the Serbian Progressive Party, lost the parliamentary elections and that the “Student List” won. “It is clear that we lost these elections; the ‘Student List’ won,” Vučić stated in a televised address.
