Mikheil Saakashvili: Now is not the time to exclude anyone - if people had listened to me in 2024 and we had united under a single center, Ivanishvili would have no longer been a factor

In the context of the situation in Serbia, many were saying yesterday that we should wait for the 2028 elections. In reality, however, protesters forced Vučić to call snap elections, Mikheil Saakashvili, the third President of Georgia, writes on social media while commenting on the parliamentary elections held in Serbia.
According to Mikheil Saakashvili, some in Georgia today argue that "all leaders should be pushed aside" and that the struggle should proceed without leaders; however, he maintains that the genuine leaders present in the country must absolutely be utilized.
"In the context of Serbia, many were saying yesterday that we should wait for the 2028 elections. In reality, protesters forced Vučić to call snap elections (even though he had effectively banned all major opposition parties beforehand).
Recently, many of those who were calling for a leader like Magyar are now arguing that we should push all leaders aside and fight without any leadership. The truth lies somewhere in the middle: the protest should be as decentralized as possible, yet the country’s genuine leader (or leaders) must be utilized—while keeping in mind that the leader is currently in prison.
We need active participation from those who are still able to move about freely within the country; they must operate in a way that minimizes the risk of getting arrested.
Now is not the time to exclude anyone. If people had listened to me in 2024 and we had united under a single center, Ivanishvili would have no longer been a factor. Even now, the only solution is unity. That is how it played out in Hungary, and that is what happened in Serbia as well.
I personally added the phrase 'Strength is in Unity' to the Georgian coat of arms," writes Mikheil Saakashvili.
