Confrontation occurs during protest in Zugdidi A protest is being held by drivers in the city of Zugdidi.

According to an InterpressNews correspondent, drivers of Zugdidi-Tbilisi minibuses have gone on strike.

The protesters expressed dissatisfaction against possible entry of Turkish transport company Metro. They say they will lose jobs if the company enters Zugdidi.

A verbal and physical confrontation took place at the protest between the drivers and an auto station controller. He called on the protesters to stop the strike and resume working. One of the participants of the clash was taken to police station for questioning.
