Georgian footballers were allegedly released from the court room yesterday on an undertaking that they will not leave the country, - Georgia Consulate in Istanbul told InterPressNews on Friday.
According to them, the Consul has already talked with the coach and other representatives of the football club and is still in contact with them.
"There was the problem related to an interpreter and we have not made everything clear at this stage, but the Consul is involved in this issue. According to the information available at this stage, the players did not remain in custody and they have been released on an undertaking not leave the country,” InterPressNews was told at the Consulate.
Police in Turkey have detained five footballers of “Tskhinvali” football club for robbery. According to local media, the fact of robbery took place in the shopping center in Antalya city.
