Traffic restored at so-called checkpoint of Akhalgori after 63-day paralysis

After a 63-day paralysis, traffic has been restored at the so-called checkpoint of Akhalgori district.

According to the decision of the de facto government of the occupied Tskhinvali region, the so-called checkpoint was opened a few minutes ago.

"This two-month restriction has quite significantly damaged the people in Akhalgori, as well as those who wanted to enter Akhalgori," Akhalgori Governor Nugzar Tinikashvili told InterPressNews.

The de facto regime closed the so-called checkpoint on January 11th on the motive of the spread of viral infections on the territory controlled by the central government of Georgia.
