The National Movement will support Shalva Shavgulidze in the mid-term elections.

According to Roman Gotsiridze, the chairman of the National Movement faction, he welcomes any unification of opposition parties. He said that the National Movement will probably not have a candidate in the districts where the opposition will have competitive candidates.

"We welcome any unification. We saw in the presidential elections that unification is effective. It is good that they nominated a joint candidate. The mid-term elections are to be held in several districts and we ill probably not have our candidates in the districts, where the opposition will have competitive candidates," Roman Gotsiridze said.

Shalva Shavgulidze was nominated today as a joint majoritarian candidate for the mid-term parliamentary elections by Free Democrats and European Georgia.
