The Patriarchate of Georgia has released a statement on New Zealand’s recent terror attack.

The Patriarchate expresses sorrow of the attack on a mosque and condemns violence.

"We express our deep concern over the attack on the mosque in New Zealand and offer sympathy to the families of the victims, the people of New Zealand, all Muslims and anyone for whom violence and extremism are unacceptable.

We condemn terrorism and pray for peace," the Patriarch's statement reads.
