Belarus is a firm supporter of Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and this has been reaffirmed at the highest level, Foreign Minister of Georgia David Zalkaliani said, commenting on the meeting between Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.

According to FM Zalkaliani, the meeting was focused on all the main directions of bilateral relations between Georgia and Belarus and the ways to further deepen economic relations.

"There are no problematic issues in our bilateral relations, our trade turnover is increasing every year and the current dynamics indicate that this year will also be a very positive one in terms of trade relations," David Zalkaliani said.

According to him, there is a positive tendency of increase the number of tourists from Belarus and the possibility of additional direct flights was discussed in terms of intensifying cooperation in this field.
