Grigol Vashadze: I ask the strategic partners to force Georgian Dream to compromise

I ask the strategic partners to force Georgian Dream to compromise, since they oppose not to the opposition parties but to the citizens of Georgia, Grigol Vashadze, the chairman of the United National Movement party, said after a meeting between the opposition and MEPs in Tbilisi on Sunday.

According to Vashadze, violence in the streets of Tbilisi and other cities is unacceptable to MEPs.

"The meeting was extremely useful and important, as our strategic allies are well aware of what is happening in Georgia and have full information about it. Third : it was underlined that if the situation was not changed, Georgia 's foreign policy achievement would be completely impossible and fourth – violence that is taking place in the streets of Tbilisi and other cities is totally unacceptable. It was said in a very diplomatic way that the government is mostly responsible for. As for the recommendations we exchanged at the meeting, I ask the strategic partners to force Georgian Dream to compromise, since they oppose not to the opposition parties but to the citizens of Georgia,” Grigol Vashadaze said.
