The so-called Tskhinvali court sentences Khvicha Mghebrishvili to 3 months in pre-trial detention

Khvicha Mghebrishvili who had been detained by occupation forces was sentenced to 3 months of pre-trial detention as a measure of restraint by the so-called court of the occupied Tskhinvali region.

The relatives of Khvicha Mghebrishvili hoped that the detainee would be released today, however, after today's announcement, they appealed to the Georgian authorities and gave them 10 days to take measures to release the detainee unconditionally. According to the detainee's brother, Jumber Mghebrishvili, if the detainee is not released unconditionally within 10 days, a large-scale protest will be held.

For the record, Khvicha Mghebrishvili, a resident of Mejvriskhevi, was detained by the occupation forces on July 3. Later on, the security committee of the de facto Tskhinvali reported that Mghebrishvili had deliberately moved into the occupied territories and was trying to catch bats in order to sell them afterwards.
