Levan Davitashvili: We have no illusion that 100% of all companies will survive the crisis

Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili, does not rule out that some companies will go bankrupt due to the crisis.

Asked by a presenter of Palitranews' Daily News program whether food-importing companies were facing bankruptcy, the minister responded that it was "possible."

"Of course, there is pressure on business. The state has taken very bold steps to help businesses throughout the year. We have taken extraordinary steps and even reduced imports to certain products. I assure the population that our steps will be very quick. We have no illusions that 100% of all companies will survive the crisis today. Our aid package was unprecedentedly high considering the capabilities of the country. As a result, we have largely retained the sectors and industries, but I do not rule out that individual companies might not survive the crisis", - the minister said.
