Pre-trial detention has been ordered for a 36-year-old man arrested on charges of domestic conflict. Zurab Shavliashvili is charged with domestic violence, manslaughter and intentional infliction of bodily harm.
The accused himself was present at the trial, although he did not have the right to speak.
The incident took place in Gurjaani, Kakheti region, a few days ago. Zurab Shavliashvili physically abused his wife, who was holding their 8-month-old child. The violence resulted in the death of the child.
