Anri Okhanashvili: EU deprived Saakashvili of opportunity to carry out Russian scenario and paid the bail

EU deprived Saakashvili of the opportunity to carry out the Russian scenario and paid the bail, - said Anri Okhanashvili, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Affairs, responding to the decision to release Nika Melia from prison.

"We all watched how Nika Melia was boasting, saying that he couldn't be arrested, and eventually he was arrested, saying that he would not accept the bail. The European Union has deprived Saakashvili of the opportunity to carry out the Russian scenario and paid the bail. He had to accept the bail without extra boasting. The next step would be to say that the amnesty should apply to him", - stated Okhanashvili.

As Okhanashvili noted, Georgia did not and will not have political prisoners under the government of the Georgian Dream.
