Natia Turnava on Namakhvani HPP: All the shortcomings, if there were any, will be corrected, the main thing is to implement this project in a better way, but to definitely implement it

According to the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava, all the shortcomings related to Namakhvane HPP, including environmental issues, will be corrected.

As Turnava told reporters, there are positive expectations regarding the mediation process, which is underway with the involvement of EU representatives.

"Namakhvani HPP is a very important project for our energy independence. Any such large project might be always done a little better. It is important now that we are in the process of mediation, led by a representative of the EU energy charter, and we have positive expectations. Therefore, all the shortcomings, if there were any, will be corrected, even in terms of environmental protection, there is nothing serious. The main thing is to implement this project in a better way, but to definitely implement it", - Turnava said.
