The situation around the arrest of former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili is under personal control of the Ukrainian President, - said Mikheil Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the Ukrainian President's office.
"We expect a clear response from the Georgian authorities and we will make decisions after consultations at the level of foreign ministers. Our Foreign Ministry is now dealing with this issue.
The President is constantly monitoring this situation. Saakashvili is a citizen of Ukraine and we must bring our citizen back," Podoliak said.
The third President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, was arrested by law enforcers in Tbilisi yesterday.
