There is nothing surprising about the recall of the Ambassador and we should not have complaints against Zelensky. He is the leader of his country, he is at war and it is natural that he demands partnership from his partners and not betrayal in the war, Batu Kutelia, one of the leaders of the Droa party, told PalitraNews TV.
He said that Georgia unfortunately took the Russian side in the Russia-Ukraine war, between the civilized democratic world and the Russian aggressive empire, and the recall of the Ambassador from Georgia by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is connected with the above.
According to him, Zelensky did not like the work of the Ambassador, taking into account that Georgia did not live up to expectations and did not stand by Ukraine in the war.
"This is a signal to both this Government and the international community, because Ukraine-Georgia relations are not out of context. This is part of the common military and diplomatic front. Ukraine has a strong diplomatic front today. It has many partners that actively help Ukraine. And there are countries with moderate stance and there are countries that do not take any position at all. Georgia is stuck somewhere in the middle. We are doing something as citizens of this country, with personal, individual initiatives, but unfortunately the Government does not have a systemic policy towards the Russia-Ukraine war. So there is nothing surprising and we should not reprimand Zelensky today. He is the leader of his country, he is at war and it is natural that he demands partnership from his partners and not betrayal in the war," Batu Kutelia said.
