Irakli Gharibashvili: I want to apologize to the public, including on behalf of you, dear opponents, for such emotional speeches

"We deserved it and the Georgian people deserved the country to be given a European perspective to become a member of the European Union," Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili told Parliament, where he presented an annual report.

In addition, Gharibashvili apologized to the public for the verbal confrontation that took place between him and the opposition during today's speech.

"This is a historic record - I will not shy away from saying that. People have been asking for this for 30 years. This is really a great achievement, no one gives us anything by chance.

I wanted to say it again - I want to apologize to the public, including on behalf of you, dear opponents, for such emotional speeches. It is not pleasant to hear so many insulting statements, but, unfortunately, it was very difficult not to respond to such shameful actions and insults," Gharibashvili said.
