Mikheil Saakashvili's lawyer: If he is receiving adequate treatment, why does the Minister of Justice offer to bring a foreign doctor?

If Mikheil Saakashvili is receiving qualified help and everything is fine, then why should we bring a foreign doctor? - If there is good treatment, why does the patient's condition get worse every day? - this is how the lawyer of the third President, Mikheil Saakashvili, answered the statement of the Minister of Justice, Rati Bregadze, that the state offers Mikheil Saakashvili to bring any doctor from any foreign clinic and involve him/her in the treatment process.

According to the lawyer, it is not up to them to decide whether Mikheil Saakashvili's sentence will be postponed or not. According to him, this is decided by the court.

"What should I answer? Now the answer is the report of the forensic medical examination, which has already been handed over to me today, and in the next few days I will apply to the court with a motion. At the trial, this issue will be clarified once and for all.

If adequate treatment is provided, then why does the Minister of Justice offer to bring a foreign doctor? There are two mutually exclusive positions in one statement. If qualified help is provided and everything is fine, then why should we bring a foreign doctor? If good treatment is given, why does the patient's condition get worse day by day?

I have ordered several pieces of judge's gown, I will send a judge's gown to anyone who makes a statement that is not within their competence. Let them dress at home and walk in the judge's gown. It is not up to them to decide whether Saakashvili's sentence will be postponed or not, the court decides that," Khachapuridze said.

For information, according to the Minister of Justice of Georgia, Rati Bregadze, the state offers former President Mikheil Saakashvili to bring any doctor from any foreign clinic and involve him/her in the treatment process.

"Due to high responsibility of our state towards the life and health of each person, we express our readiness and offer convicted Saakashvili to bring any doctor from any foreign clinic, whom the state will give the opportunity to be involved in the former President's treatment," Bregadze said.
