Khatia Dekanoidze: Irakli Gharibashvili's statements are clear proof that Mikheil Saakashvili is an object of political justice

According to Khatia Dekanoidze, one of the leaders of the National Movement, yesterday's statements of Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili regarding ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili are clear evidence that Saakashvili is an object of political justice.

As she told journalists before visiting Saakashvili at Vivamed clinic, the Prime Minister clearly stated that decisions are made by Georgian Dream instead of the court.

"The statement of the Prime Minister of Georgia is an clear evidence. The first evidence was when he said that if he didn't behave well, the charges would be added. The second direct reference and directive was this. Throughout this period, they talked about the court deciding the issue of Mikheil Saakashvili's health condition, and now it turned out that it is not the court, but Gharibashvili, i.e. Georgian Dream and Bidzina Ivanishvili. Of course, these evidences are all with our international partners, so I think this is once again a statement that Mikheil Saakashvili is the object of political justice. In addition, I think, despite his statements, despite the hate speech used by the representatives of the majority, including Irakli Gharibashvili, they cannot escape responsibility, because according to Georgian legislation, the state is responsible for the state of health and the right to life," said Dekanoidze.

According to Dekanoidze, Mikheil Saakashvili wants to eat, but it is difficult to eat for him even in small portions.

"The responsibility of this clinic and the government is that Mikheil Saakashvili survives, so the statements we hear are very grave," said Dekanoidze.

Dekanoidze explained that she plans to talk to Mikheil Saakashvili's doctor to hear his opinion on whether Mikheil Saakashvili will be able to attend tomorrow's trial.
