The statements of MEPs are significantly biased. After the corruption scandal, which reached a serious scale, the authority of the European Parliament has been significantly damaged, the First Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, Gia Volski, said while responding to Anna Fotiga's statement about Mikheil Saakashvili.

According to him, Anna Fotyga's statement is biased and causes doubts.

"Statements of MEPs are largely biased, and in general, the scandal related to corruption has significantly damaged the authority of the European Parliament. Fotyga's statement, and she is not the only one, is doubtful in terms of objectivity in general (absolutely politically biased), as well as in terms of logic. So, let's wait for the results of the investigation on the one hand and, on the other hand, let’s evaluate the real situation and the content of the statements made by these people," said Volski.

To the question: does he want to say that Fotyga has also to do something with corruption, Volski said that he did not say that.

"I am less interested in the impressions you have. I said what I said," said Volski.

He also responded to the State Department's statement regarding Mikheil Saakashvili and noted that the authorities are not shunning responsibility, however, according to him, Saakashvili is obliged to receive the treatment that has been prescribed to him.

"I don't know how much you realize the responsibility of the person who left the battlefield, people, bodies of soldiers, and who is sponsoring you today. I don't know if you connect all these things to each other. We are also monitoring (his condition) daily. We should rely not only on logic, but also on expert conclusions. Using the topic of Saakashvili's health, his party members and the radical opposition are trying to strengthen their positions in the political field. No matter who will say it - the Department of State or any other structure, of course, is the responsibility of the Government, and the Government does not shun responsibility. There is a health care system that fully serves prisoners, including Saakashvili. Saakashvili is also obliged to receive the treatment prescribed by the health care system. This is a fact. There is a treatment procedure and a certain diet that the prisoner Saakashvili must take. Read the conclusions, I don't think that politicians should talk so much instead of health experts," said Volski.
