Giorgi Vashadze: The conversation between Zurab Abashidze and Grigory Karasin is a crime that the Georgian people will not tolerate
According to Giorgi Vashadze, the leader of Strategy Builder, the conversation between Zurab Abashidze, Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of Georgia for Relations with Russia, and Grigory Karasin, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee of Russia, is a crime that the Georgian people will not tolerate.
As he noted at the briefing, the record confirms that the Government is conducting secret negotiations with Russia.
"Yesterday, we heard a recording, which directly shows that Georgian Dream is secretly talking with the Russian Federation. It turns out that there is a format and official representatives of Georgia talk to the Ministry of Transport of Russia, and we don't know anything about it. I think , it is clear to everyone that we have never heard of such a format. Moreover, in this record there is a request from the Russian side that this type of format, which has no legal legitimacy, should take a regular form. We have officially cut off diplomatic relations with Russia, but behind our backs, Georgian Dream is constantly speaking against the national interests of Georgia. When you hide it and do it behind our back, it is a clear evidence of guilt in this particular case. What is most sad is that these communications and secret conversations are most likely used to circumvent sanctions for Russia, ofr opening new channels or new mechanisms. What is worst, Georgian Dream has a very friendly relationship with the Russian Federation. That is why the whole West is appealing to us, the Georgian people. They distinguish between Georgian Dream and Georgian people, everyone sees that our choice is Europe, worthy support of Ukraine. That is why there should be a lot of us on February 24 to show the whole world what is happening behind the backs of the Georgian people. What is happening behind our backs is a crime and we will never tolerate this crime. So, on February 24, for Ukraine, for our European perspective, for the support of our heroes, we are waiting for you at 19:00, at Rustaveli, so that we can all show together real the will of the Georgian people," Vashadze said.
The recording of a conversation between Abashidze and Karasin was spread via YouTube, Cyber Kmara channel. According to the record, Abashidze and Karasin are talking about the construction of a new highway. Abashidze explains to Karasin that a parallel highway is being built in the direction of Zemo Larsi.
