According to the chairman of Georgian Dream, Irakli Kobakhidze, Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has joined in a campaign against the EU candidate status.

According to him, the President of Georgia, a few days ago, during delivering a report in the Parliament, directly stated that Georgia did not deserve the status of a candidate for the European Union last year, nor does it deserve this year.

As Kobakhidze states, the "global war party" is interested in Ukrainization in Georgia, which the government will not allow.

"The radical opposition cannot hide it, they are directly campaigning against the status of the candidate. You saw that Salome Zurabishvili joined this agitation a few days ago, when she had a report in the Parliament of Georgia. She directly stated that Georgia did not deserve the candidate status last year, nor does it deserve this year. She also joined the campaign against the candidate status. They do not hide their desire. The only interest is to use the status of the candidate as an excuse to stir up the situation in the country. The radical opposition in Georgia has this interest and their patrons have the same interest. We sometimes call them the "party of global war". There is a certain global power that has an interest in the Ukrainization of Georgia. Of course, we will do our best to prevent events from developing in this direction. It is in our interest that Georgia does not become Ukrainized, that Georgia receives the status of a candidate, that there is peace in Georgia, therefore, all steps will be taken for this purpose," said Kobakhidze.
