Salome Zurabishvili and the radical opposition have one and the same agenda, everyone can see this, Georgian Dream Chairman Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists. According to him, the rhetoric of the President and the opposition coincide with each other.

"Salome Zurabishvili and the radical opposition have one and the same agenda, everyone can see that. Their rhetoric coincides with each other. Therefore, it is not surprising that they act with one and the same interests. This is their agenda, which stems from the fact that they have a common patron - the “global war party”. They are doing everything so that Georgia is not given the candidate status, this is their main interest, and at the same time, if the country is given the candidate status, Salome Zurabishvili will try her best to attribute this decision to herself. It is clear what drives them, this is another manifestation of their radical agenda", Kobakhidze said.

According to him, it is directly written in the constitution that the President can exercise representative powers, including going abroad, holding work meetings, etc., only with the approval of the government.

"Salome Zurabishvili knew this, and that's why she requested approval from the government. She could not get it, but she went anyway. It is so obvious, the constitution was violated very grossly," said Kobakhidze.

The Georgian Dre­am Chairman explained why the impeachment procedure was started.

"Leaving this without reacting by the ruling team would be disrespect for the constitution of Georgia. When the constitution is blatantly violated, especially by the President of Georgia, it is the responsibility of the ruling team to respond effectively to such a blatant act. That's why we started the impeachment process even though the ruling team does not have 100 votes to complete this process. Although the collective National Movement declared Salome Zurabishvili a spy, traitor and so on, today they have the same agenda. Therefore, of course, they will not support the impeachment procedure", said Kobakhidze.
