I want to once again warn the hostile forces operating inside the country, as well as their supporters outside the borders of the country, we will not allow any disturbances in the country, said Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili at today's Government session.
According to the Prime Minister, all those who implement anti-state plans will be severely punished.
"We will not allow such destructive forces to destroy our country once again. We have gone through many crises in the country since the 90s, be it civil unrest, wars or numerous destabilizations. This is the only period of peace and stability that our team, the government, has brought to the country. We know very well what their plans are. Their goal is violence, disorder, destabilization. They certainly don't like the successes we have in the country today. They do not like that we have maintained peace and stability in the country today. Their desire is to violently overthrow the government and open a "second front" in the country. That was their original goal, and unfortunately, it remains their goal today. Therefore, the statements that SSG released are preventive in nature, warning statements in the form of concrete evidence. I would like to call on everyone to show maximum common sense. Don't let such destructive forces use you. We well remember the events of March, how students were used and then abandoned. Of course it will happen like this. All these are their dirty anti-national, anti-state plans. We will oppose it and will not allow it. Anyone who puts these anti-state plans into action will be punished with the utmost severity. I would also like to hope that we will hear a proper explanation from the local ISAID office. Unfortunately, it was observed that these people came with their invitation and funding. This, of course, is a sad fact, but we will wait for their official explanations. We have many years of cooperation with USAID. Therefore, it is a pity that such facts are happening," said Gharibashvili.
