Nika Gvaramia: Georgian Dream's propaganda started to prepare us for not getting candidate status - it will not work to blame others, no matter how much some immature oppositionists help you with incomprehensible malicious and Dream propaganda

It will not work to blame others, no matter how much some immature oppositionists or some immature representatives of the non-governmental sector help you with incomprehensible malicious and Dream propaganda, by making strange and sometimes even suspicious statements, former Director General of Main Channel Nika Gvaramia thus responded to the statements made by opposition MP Khatuna Samnidze and the leaders of Georgian Dream regarding the candidate status.

Gvaramia writes on Facebook:

"Georgian Dream's propaganda started to prepare us for not getting the status of the European Union. In vain: it will not work to blame anyone, no matter how much some immature oppositionists or some immature representatives of the non-governmental sector help you with incomprehensible malicious and Dream propaganda, by making strange and sometimes even suspicious statements.

Blaming will not work, because if we do not get the candidate status, it will be only due to the Dream sabotaging the process.

If their own geopolitical interest dictates so, they will give it to us. In a country where democracy is destroyed and 2/3 of the European recommendations are deliberately not being fulfilled, and are even deliberately getting worse, no other motivation can exist in nature", said Nika Gvaramia.

For information, the Chairwoman of the Republican Party, Khatuna Samnidze, said on PalitraNews TV yesterday that there are people in the ranks of the opposition who talk behind closed doors with European partners about the fact that Georgia's EU membership candidate status should be postponed and it should be granted to the country after the 2024 elections. As Samnidze noted, she called on her opposition colleagues to stop spreading damaging messages about Georgia's candidate status.

Robin Wagener - With the law on "transparency of foreign influence", there will be no EU membership - No chance for that
Estonian Ambassador to Georgia - If we want EU membership, we should all play by the rules - The Georgian Government on the one hand says that they are moving closer to the EU, but their actions do not prove that
