Any format should be used to protect our national interests, the chairman of Georgian Dream Irakli Kobakhidze said, responding to the participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili, in the OSCE Ministerial of Foreign Affairs.

According to him, it will not be correct for the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia not to attend the summit.

"Georgia is a member of the OSCE, and in addition, the Secretary of State of the United States of America, as well as the Commissioner for Foreign Affairs of the European Commission, Mr. Borrell, will attend this summit, and under such circumstances, our non-attendance would be wrong. Based on the fact that any format should be used to protect our national interests. When Blinken and Borrell arrive there and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia does not arrive - at least such a thing will be incomprehensible. The OSCE is the format where security issues are discussed first, and this format is constantly used by us to draw the attention of the international community to our national issues, among which one of the priority issues is, of course, the occupation of our territories," Kobakhidze said.
